Suspect in Cape Coral jewelry store robbery wanted by FBI

A suspect accused of breaking into a Cape Coral jewelry store is wanted by the Federal Bureau of Investigation. According to the FBI on Tuesday, Alberto Perez-Elias is wanted for his reported involvement in the robbery on Jan. 6. Perez-Elias has ties to Hialeah and Miami, and the FBI said he should be considered armed and dangerous. The reward is up to $50,000 for information that helps the FBI find Perez-Elias. According to court documents, the defendants, Ivel Sanchez Rivera, Osmani Barrios Carrera, Yunior Lopez Delgado and Perez-Elias, are facing the following charges: Conspiracy to interfere with commerce by robbery Interference with commerce by robbery Use, carry and brandish a firearm during a crime of violence The suspects were accused of entering the store, Tio Jewelers, through the wall of a vacant business while the store was closed, and the manager of the store was reportedly held at gunpoint, court documents stated. The suspects were also accused of stealing thousands of pieces of jewelry, totaling more than $1 million, then fleeing to Miami before they were arrested, according to court documents.
