A Fort Myers man was arrested after he was accused of various sex and drug offenses. According to the Fort Myers Police Department on Wednesday, Todd Alexander Battles, 53, was arrested following an investigation that started after a victim reported an alleged sexual assault. Detectives said they reviewed digital evidence and executed a search warrant at Battles' home, which led to him facing more charges related to digital voyeurism and possession of child sexual abuse material. Additionally, officers said suspected controlled substances and drug paraphernalia were reportedly found at the home. Officers said the evidence was tested and/or identified as methamphetamine/MDMA, cocaine, alprazolam (Xanax) and amphetamine/dextroamphetamine (Adderall), leading to Battles facing drug-related charges. Battles is facing 12 charges, which include the following: Two counts of sexual battery Three counts of possession of child sexual abuse images Two counts of digital voyeurism One count of digital voyeurism dissemination Three counts of possession of a controlled substance without a prescription One count of possession/use of drug paraphernalia Police said they will not release additional information about the victim and the reported assault due to the case's sensitive nature.
