Student at Barron Collier High School faces charges after knives found on campus

COLLIER COUNTY, Fla. (WINK) — A Barron Collier High School student is facing charges after the Collier County Sheriff's Office said multiple knives were discovered in the student's vehicle on campus Wednesday.

Staff said they alerted school administration and contacted Collier deputies. 

Authorities determined no threat was made to the school or students and believe there was no danger to the campus.

The student is charged with possession of a weapon on school grounds.
