SOUTHWEST FLORIDA (WINK) — September is giving Southwest Florida food lovers another reason to make dinner plans, with Sizzle Dining bringing special menus to restaurants across the region.
Two participating restaurants, Fernandez the Bull and A Table Apart, are offering very different dining experiences, giving diners a chance to try everything from Cuban classics to globally inspired dishes.
At Fernandez the Bull Cuban Cafe & Bar, diners can enjoy the flavors of traditional Cuban cooking. The family-owned restaurant has been serving Cuban food in Southwest Florida for over 40 years, with dishes including Cuban sandwiches, empanadas, churrasco, croquetas and other Cuban favorites.
The restaurant also has a strong family history. Partner Frank Fernandez said his uncle created a legacy.
"My uncle says that we taught Southwest Florida how to eat real Cuban food. Our sandwiches are different than the Tampa and Miami Cuban sandwiches," Fernandez explained.

For Sizzle Dining, Fernandez the Bull is offering a three-course lunch for $19 and a three-course dinner for $29 at participating locations. The promotion runs throughout September, giving diners the opportunity to try several courses at a set price while exploring the restaurant's Cuban-inspired menu.
Over in Bonita Springs, A Table Apart offers a different take on dinner. The restaurant combines seafood, steaks, lamb and pork with global flavors and French-inspired techniques. Its menu features dishes such as seafood, whole fish and other creative plates designed around fresh ingredients and bold flavors.

A Table Apart is also participating in Sizzle Dining throughout September, offering a three-course dinner for $39.
Owner, Jarrod Davis, is also offering a starter course called 'amuse bouche,' " It's a French term for a starter dish. It's supposed to be a one bite beginning course. I wanted to do something that would set us apart."
The restaurant describes its Sizzle menu as a chance to experience its food at a special price while still getting the full multi-course dining experience.
Sizzle Dining runs through September 30 and features restaurants throughout Southwest Florida. Beyond giving diners a chance to try something new, the event also gives back to the community. Participating restaurants donate $1 from each Sizzle Dining meal sold to Blessings in a Backpack SWFL, which helps provide food to local elementary school children experiencing food insecurity.
Whether you're craving a Cuban classic or looking for a more adventurous seafood dinner, Fernandez the Bull and A Table Apart are two very fun ways to get a taste of what Sizzle Dining has to offer this month.
