A Naples man is wanted on a bench warrant for failing to appear in court following an arrest on charges of petit theft and drug possession. According to Southwest Florida Crime Stoppers, Michael Haire, 62, was arrested after being accused of stealing from a pawn shop he frequented. Haire stole a drone when employees weren't looking, stuffing it under his shirt and walking out of the store with it. The theft was caught on the store's security cameras, and Haire was identified as the suspect, Crime Stoppers said. Haire was arrested and spent three months in jail before being released on the condition of showing up for his court date, which he did not do. Haire has a lengthy criminal history including arrests for child neglect, drug possession, grand theft, dealing in stolen property, burglary, battery and the possession of a weapon by a convicted felon. Haire is 6'3", weighs 150 pounds, and is believed to be moving between different hotels in Collier County. If you have information in this case, you are asked to contact Southwest Florida Crime Stoppers at 1-800-780-TIPS (8477), on the P3 app, or on its website.
