Child hospitalized after being found in water behind Cape Coral home

A child has been transported to a hospital after being found in a body of water behind a home in Cape Coral. According to the Cape Coral Police Department, the child was found in the body of water behind a home on Hancock Bridge Parkway on Sunday. Firefighters with the Cape Coral Fire Department confirmed that crews responded to a drowning incident. The child was transported to a hospital. Their current condition is unknown.
