CHARLOTTE COUNTY, Fla. - Three people were taken to a hospital Saturday after emergency crews responded to a reported cardiac arrest at All Stars Sports Grill, according to Charlotte County Fire & EMS.
A Charlotte County Fire & EMS spokesperson said crews were dispatched to the business around 3:36 p.m.
When crews arrived, they found one patient receiving CPR and an automated external defibrillator had already been deployed, the spokesperson said.
While crews were treating that patient, two additional people at the establishment required medical attention.
Fire and EMS crews treated all three patients before transporting them to a local hospital for further evaluation and treatment.
The Charlotte County Sheriff’s Office separately confirmed it was conducting an active investigation at the business.
Sgt. Richard Kaufman with the sheriff’s office said the situation was contained and there was no threat to the public.
Authorities have not released additional information about what led to the incident, or the condition of those involved.
