A Lehigh Acres man was sentenced to 25 years in prison after a Lee County jury found him guilty of trafficking fentanyl and heroin in two separate cases stemming from an undercover narcotics investigation. Detron Akeem Williams, 30, was found guilty in one case on charges of trafficking in heroin (four grams or more), possession of a controlled substance with intent to sell or deliver (fentanyl), and selling or delivering fentanyl. In this case, Williams was sentenced to 25 years in prison and ordered to pay a $50,000 fine. According to the State Attorney's Office, Twentieth Judicial Circuit, the Lee County Sheriff's Office began investigating Williams in June 2025. LCSO's Narcotics Unit participated in numerous drug buys with Williams, and a confidential informant and undercover narcotics detective were present for the deals, investigators said. Williams was found guilty of trafficking in four grams or more of fentanyl, possession of a controlled substance with intent to sell or deliver (heroin), and selling or delivering heroin on Sept. 2. He was immediately sentenced to 15 years in prison and ordered to pay a $50,000 fine in this case. The State Attorney's Office said the second case will run concurrently with the prior sentence.
