Naples graffiti artist shows there's strength in standing out

Inside a Naples garage, Marcus Zotter doesn't limit his creativity to a canvas. "Sure, I'll paint on your truck, your house. I could probably go down a list and figure out the weirdest things I've painted on that I'm proud of," said Zotter. Eleven years ago, when Zotter first came to Naples, he knew his style was a bit unconventional. "People would call me because they'd be like, you're the only graffiti artist in Naples listed on Google, and I'd be like, awesome!" said Zotter. Not only has Zotter become well known for his paintings, but he's no stranger to creating in front of a crowd. "I've done it so much like over a hundred times live in some form and I have to say every time it's just butterflies in my stomach," said Zotter. Maybe that's because, for Zotter, being an artist means growth. "I don't think I should ever be comfortable as an artist because once you do, then you're not learning more," said Zotter. In a world where we're often taught to fit in, Marcus shows us what's possible when we're not afraid to stand out. "I'm not a master. I'm just a creating artist, constantly, forever," said Zotter.
