DESOTO COUNTY, Fla. (WINK)—Motorists should expect traffic impacts along State Road 70 near Walmart in DeSoto County from September 15 through September 17 as crews perform traffic signal improvements at the intersection.
According to a press release, the work will include replacing signal heads, wiring and replacing the existing signal cabinet. Econolite will perform the improvements.

Work is scheduled from 7 a.m. to 4 p.m. each day. Eastbound and westbound lanes are expected to be closed on September 15 and 16 while crews replace signal equipment and complete wiring work.
On September 17, the traffic signal will be temporarily turned off from approximately 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. while crews replace the signal cabinet. Traffic control will be provided by Econolite with assistance from two police officers.
Motorists should use caution when approaching the intersection, follow posted traffic-control devices and be prepared for delays. Drivers are encouraged to allow additional travel time and consider alternate routes when possible.
