Apple revealed its newest devices during its annual launch event on Sept. 9, introducing the iPhone 18 Pro, iPhone 18 Pro Max, and the foldable iPhone Duo, as well as updates to its smartwatch and headphone lines. John Joyce, CEO of CRS Technology Consultants, joined Gulf Coast News at 9 to share advice for those considering an upgrade. The new iPhone is always Apple’s most anticipated product of the year, Joyce said. He noted that Apple showcased mainly the higher-end models at this year’s event. Joyce also discussed the iPhone Duo, Apple’s first foldable phone, which is passport-sized when closed and expands to the size of an iPad mini when opened. Joyce also offered advice on upgrading devices, emphasizing practicality over desire. He advised users to look for signs such as lagging performance, unexpected app closures, or a failing battery.
