Couple accused of stealing BMW, using stolen credit cards at Four Seasons in Naples

NAPLES, Fla. (WINK) — A couple was arrested after a crime spree in Old Naples that included stolen vehicles, burglaries and fraudulent credit card use.

According to a press release from the Naples Police Department, officers responded to a report of a stolen BMW rental car from a residential driveway on 1st Avenue South on Sept. 5. The victim had several credit cards and numerous personal items valued at more than $5,000 inside the vehicle.

The victim's credit cards were subsequently used fraudulently to make more than $1,300 in purchases, according to police.

On the same day, a second victim at another residence on 1st Avenue South contacted the Naples Police Department to report a residential burglary. The victim reported that someone unlawfully entered his detached garage and removed items valued at $140.

On Sept. 6, a third victim on Oleander Drive contacted the Naples Police Department to report a residential burglary in progress where a female suspect fled on foot from the residence upon the victim's arrival home. The fleeing suspect was located by Naples Police officers hiding in bushes nearby.

She initially resisted officers' commands and was subsequently placed under arrest. The suspect was identified as Christen Michele Cutler.

Following Cutler's arrest, later that same afternoon Naples Police officers stopped Nicholas Murawski operating the stolen BMW rental car as he traveled through Old Naples. Murawski had a revoked Florida driver's license, was in possession of drug paraphernalia, stolen property from the previously mentioned burglaries and mail stolen from several residential mailboxes, according to police.

A receipt and credit card were found in the stolen car from one of the earlier burglary victims, which implicated Cutler using the credit card at the Four Seasons on Gulf Shore Boulevard. Cutler made approximately $1,300 in fraudulent purchases, including women's clothing and accessories, according to a report by the Naples Police Department.

Murawski and Cutler were arrested by the Naples Police Department for the theft of a golf cart in May of 2025 and the duo was arrested again by the agency for trespassing in October of 2025, according to police. Over the course of the past two years there have been multiple interactions between this couple and law enforcement, according to the press release.

Murawski and Cutler were taken into custody at separate locations and transported to the Collier County Sheriff's Office Jail for booking where they were charged with numerous offenses to include burglary, grand theft auto, grand theft, fraudulent use of credit cards, mail theft, possession of paraphernalia, resisting arrest and driving with a revoked license, according to the Naples Police Department.
