Charlotte County deputies have revealed that drugs were involved in a medical emergency at All-Star Sports Bar that sent three people to the hospital over the weekend. According to Charlotte County Fire & EMS, crews responded to All-Star Sports Bar in Port Charlotte on Saturday, September 12, at around 3:36 p.m. When crews arrived, they found one patient receiving CPR, and an AED had been deployed. While crews were treating the patient, two additional patients at the establishment required medical attention. CCFEMS crews treated all three patients, and all three were transported to local hospitals for further evaluation and treatment. At the time, the cause of the medical emergencies was unknown. On Monday, the Charlotte County Sheriff's Office shared that the incident was drug-related and is still under investigation.
