Ahoy, mateys! Fort Myers Beach is getting a pirate makeover this weekend.
Pirate Festival is returning to Salty Sam’s Marina on Saturday, September 19, from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. and the timing is fitting because it falls on International Talk Like a Pirate Day.
Guests can dress up as their favorite pirates and spend the day searching for treasure, playing pirate games, listening to live music and checking out craft vendors.
The Salty Sam’s pirate ship will also be part of the fun, with guests able to climb aboard, explore the ship and take part in pirate-themed activities.
The pirate ship has been sailing for over 20 years and is called The Pieces of 8. Aboard the ship, people will find famous pirates like Pick Pocket Pete, Scout, Lady and Cataline "Kat" Kally.

If you arrive hungry, Parrot Key Caribbean Grill and Marina Cantina Tin Tiki will have special Pirate Fest food and drink options.

And the fun isn't just for landlubbers. Boaters can pull into the marina for a Pirate Dock Party and even decorate their boats like pirate ships. There will be prizes for the best-decorated vessels, and docking is free.
Looking for pirate treasure? Kids and adults can join a treasure hunt created by pirate crew member Catalina “Kat” Kally.
The festival is free to attend, with free parking and free docking available.
