Lehigh Acres man accused of threatening repossession driver with gun, asking 'Do you want to die?'

A Lehigh Acres man was arrested on Tuesday after being accused of threatening a repossession driver with a gun and firing a shot. According to the Lee County Sheriff's Office, deputies responded to a home in the 4000 block of 11th Street Southwest early Tuesday morning after a repossession driver reported an altercation with the homeowner. The driver told deputies he was in the process of repossessing two vehicles when the homeowner came outside armed with a pistol and said, "Do you want to die?" The homeowner, identified as Brandon Kolz, got into one of the vehicles while it was still on the tow truck and demanded that the repossession driver put it down, LCSO said. The driver, fearing for his life, released the vehicle from the tow truck. As the vehicle was driven away, Kolz fired a shot from the pistol, LCSO said. Deputies found that Kolz was aware that he was behind on car payments at the time of the incident. Deputies later found Kolz and arrested him. He faces two charges of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon.
