Lee County deputies find almost 5 pounds of cocaine during traffic stop, arrest driver

A man was arrested in Lee County on Wednesday after deputies said they caught him with almost five pounds of cocaine. According to the Lee County Sheriff's Office, deputies were conducting proactive patrols in the area of Corkscrew Road when they stopped a vehicle being driven by Freutz Lormine. During the stop, deputies noticed the smell of marijuana and established probable cause to search the vehicle. The search revealed two kilograms of cocaine, which is considered a trafficking amount, LCSO said. Narcotics Unit deputies subsequently responded to the scene and assumed the investigation.
