Overnight crash shuts down I-75 near Toledo Blade Blvd in Sarasota County for hours

All lanes on I-75 near Toledo Blade Boulevard and Kings Highway in Sarasota County reopened early Thursday morning following an overnight crash that caused hours-long closures. The crash was reported around 7:45 p.m. last night, and lanes remained closed until nearly 3 a.m. A Gulf Coast News crew on the scene said two vehicles were involved in the crash, and both were towed. At this time, it is unknown how the crash occurred.
