FDOT imposes new weight restrictions for LaBelle Drawbridge in Hendry County

The Florida Department of Transportation has updated vehicle weight restrictions on the SR-29 LaBelle Drawbridge over the Caloosahatchee River in Hendry County. According to FDOT, effective immediately, the LaBelle drawbridge is subject to vehicle-specific weight restrictions of 26 tons, 32 tons, and 34 tons, depending on vehicle configuration. Commercial vehicles are required to follow the posted weight-limit signage, and any vehicle exceeding the weight limit must use the designated detour via SR-78, US-27 and SR-80.
