FORT MYERS, Fla. (WINK) — The Florida Department of Law Enforcement arrested two Southwest Florida men in separate cases on charges of possessing child sexual abuse material, according to a FDLE news release.
FDLE arrested Horace Johnson, 48, of Fort Myers, and Christopher Turpin, 38, of Naples, on 10 counts each of possession of child sexual abuse material. Johnson faces an additional count of sexual activity involving animals, according to the FDLE.

The arrests stem from FDLE's statewide initiative to locate and arrest criminals targeting children and sharing files depicting the sexual abuse of children. Both investigations remain active.
FDLE agents began investigating Johnson on July 23 after conducting an online investigation and determining he was downloading child sexual abuse material. On Aug. 20, FDLE agents, the FDLE Special Operations Team and the Fort Myers Police Department executed a search warrant at Johnson's residence and seized multiple electronic devices and electronic storage devices.
A digital forensic analysis identified numerous files depicting the sexual abuse of children and a file depicting the sexual abuse of animals. FDLE agents arrested Johnson on Sept. 15 and transported him to the Lee County Jail, according to the release.
The investigation into Turpin began on July 2 when FDLE agents say they conducted an online investigation and determined he was downloading child sexual abuse material. On Aug. 12, FDLE agents, the FDLE Special Operations Team and the Collier County Sheriff's Office served a search warrant at Turpin's residence and seized numerous electronic devices for further digital forensic analysis, according to the release.
FDLE arrested Turpin on Sept. 16 and transported him to the Collier County Jail. Attorney General James Uthmeier's Office of Statewide Prosecution is prosecuting both cases, according to the FDLE.
