LABELLE, Fla. (WINK) — The Florida Department of Transportation District One announced for the State Road 29 LaBelle Drawbridge over the Caloosahatchee River in Hendry County.
The restrictions, effective immediately, set vehicle-specific weight limits of 26T, 32T and 34T depending on vehicle configuration. Commercial vehicle operators must follow posted weight-limit signage.
Any vehicle exceeding its applicable weight limit must use the designated regional detour via State Road 78, U.S. 27 and State Road 80.

Northbound vehicles should follow State Road 29 to State Road 80 to U.S. 27 to State Road 78 to State Road 29. Southbound vehicles should follow State Road 29 to State Road 78 to U.S. 27 to State Road 80 to State Road 29.
FDOT advised motorists to plan ahead, allow additional travel time and follow posted weight-limit and detour signage. Drivers can monitor real-time traffic conditions using FL511.com, mobile mapping applications or GPS devices.
